3 EOD calls -_-'''

Been busy with sleepless EOD calls and post-call collapsed....thus, no time for blogging...
Sent one gastroschisis prem baby last saturday and oncall again on the next day which was the yesterday... And yesterday was my last call for this month...yea~....

Follow up for my panda eye... Post injury D3

Day 4...dead skins peeled off.. still applying pure organic Aloe vera

After ONE week! yea~ new skin! and less freckles! hmm...maybe i could do the same thing for my left side to clear off some freckles? haha..Thank God for quick healing!

Saw this pre-obese 6 year old kid during yesterday's call, weigh 31 kg! he came for pain on left knee after a fall... and after X-ray...we saw this! something small radiopaque, bone-like thing above the patella....MA referred said it was abrasion wound and asked if the xray looks normal...we thought maybe that's sesamoid bone ..but it's rare in knee joint..so we asked MA to repeat the opposite side and it doesn't have that sesamoid bone...so we went to see the patient and noted...it's a puncture wound! that must be the foreign body!

Lucas did the removal of foreign body under sedation....

And this came out! a small 'sesamoid' stone! haha...just a simple fall down and you could get a stone into your superficial knee joint!! that stone had been there for overnight cause that kid refused to come to hospital until yesterday when the pain was worsening...ahaha...the kid was crying in pain when we removed the stone, and we had to keep topping up his sleep medication to calm him down...
That's the kid...limping cause he refused to bend his knee due to the pain...and that kid is under PK follow up for overweight...and I tried to scare him by telling him that the stone went into the knee because he's too heavy and when he fell down, the impact was too strong and the stone penetrated his knee joint and if he still doesnt wanna lost some weight, next time when he fell, there'll be more stones stuck inside his knee joint...haha...hope this scared him well, and the next time i see him in PK, i want to see his KG downgoing trend...

We are doing TB screening since early this month for all the health care staff in this hospital and me is included in that group...been quite busy to spare my time for the test until today, i finished PK patient a bit earlier than usual, and the sister caught me and did the mantoux test on me....reading due on thursday.... THe amount of pen i finished in less than 2 months! these pen were cheap..8 pen for RM 1.90.... but the last time i checked..there's no more stock for those cheap pen!! damn! i only have one pen left which is going to last for 2 more days! Got to look for some cheap pen ASAP!!

Tomorrow will be antenatal clinic again, which means i have to scan all the pregnant patients.....and i heard tomorrow only has 30+ pregnant ladies...if that's the case, then i could really finish early tomorrow! hohoho... Next month , our hospital gonna implement a new oncall system...whereby, only 3 ward MO doing active calls, and PK MO doing all the passive calls.. and 2 MO doing shift system in ER....so ER will have ER MO cover till 11 pm, and oncall start to cover ER from 11 pm...but from 5pm onward, the oncall have to look after the ward though... NO one happy with the new system, cause the ward MO will be busier than before cause each of them have cover 2 wards and they will have EEOD calls for months...we'd tried discuss with the bosses but in vain...well..lets see how it works out next month..
