Christmas EvE.....

Was looking through my old posts in 2007. Never thought that i was so actively updating my blog in old days... Everyday will have something new things to blog about....Missing those days though...
Let me try to blog actively like the old me...blog everything i did on the day....let's see how long can it sustain...haha...

Date: 24/12/2012 - 4.12 am (CHRISTMAS EvE)
Morning ~ Sunny
Afternoon ~ Hot
Night ~ Raining

Woke up @ 11 am today, called up by the mortuary guy to sign the death cert of a BID (brought in death) patient whom i saw last 2 days.....Walk down the hill to the ER to sign the cert and thought, since i'd already out from house, might as well, walk a few step to the next ward to get the oncall's breakfast. It's Fried Mee!
Ermm..tasted ok ok la....oily though....can la...can fill in my stomach for the brunch...

Then waited for my friend to go to supermarket together, but first, she needed to finish her ward work first..
Bought tooth paste, junk food, and some packet drinks......
Back to house quite fast, preparing to get to work @ 3 pm...

Down to work, saw 2 unstable patients, but another colleague had already seeing, so i went to see other cases.

Was quite busy, many cases needed to clear up....
Plus, one of the unstable patient deteriorated ....and in the end, she passed away.....she's only 37 years old, with underlying nephrotic syndrome (bad kidneys which throw away albumin/protein from your body)....
Was just discharge yesterday only, came to ward to see my colleague this morning, was still walking in talking. The next moment you see her, she's in ER, was still alert at that time, but breathless..... had fainted for a short period before coming to ER. Colleague was shock to see her back to ER so fast, thus he took over the case......started strong antibiotics, treated as bad infection. BLood pressure crushed, started heart medications, one added by another one, just to sustain the pressure but in vain...
Bedside scan, heart not looking good, next thing in mind, pulmonary embolism (blockage in lungs vessels).
Pulmonary embolism has fatal outcome, those having it, not many survive......
Sent her to ward, collapsed and CPR-ed....pronounced death in late evening by colleague....
Saw him (colleague) on the edge of breaking down, holding those tears in the eyes, after he'd done so many things, patient still cant make it.....I'd never seen one like him, with such bonding with patient.....
Well, he'd done his best, i dont think i would manage as wisely as him if it's me.........
He was grumbling how bad is this year's christmas eve for him...even the christmas tree in his house cant help to lighten his mood...
Hope he wont feel too depressed because of the case....and...
Thank God I'd learn something from him.......

Over the evening, I too, saw an ill child, thank God for the paediatrician, who guided along the management...now, child is improving...hope will get well soon.....

Another C-sect case popped up, good thing, all the colleagues were around, so , that were taken care by them...

Sigh, the whole evening, busy with the 2 ill cases, an adult and a child, was running up and down, up to help CPR, down to see the child....
Skipped dinner....back @ 12am...taken some biscuits.......rested......watched series (as usual~)....
Now, closing up my post.....4.59am..logged out ....

Will get up late tml, as usual also....Nights..and MERRY CHRISTMAS....
