Viagra

It has been long time since I had my pharmacology examination which was 4 semester ago! There will be another subject related to pharmacology next semester, called CLINICAL pharmacology. Next semester, we going to learn more details about every types of drugs, including the dosage, time of giving, how to maintain the amount of drug inside your body, the side effects, the mechanism of action, and etc.

There will be a lot for me to learn and remember. So, got to know and read some information about any drug that came across us nowadays. Then it will be easier for me to ‘absorb’ the knowledge next semester.

Today, a drug passed by my blog today. Its name is viagra. Nice name? Lets see what can it do to us! Viagra mostly effect on cGMP levels in the smooth muscle of corpus cavernosum. Which then, increased the blood flow and final effect was “pleasure”.

Every drug has its own side effects including Viagra. The side effects are headache, flushing, dyspepsia and nasal congestion. Diarrhea, rash, dizziness have also been reported. So, please ask from doctor’s advise before taking it on your own!
