My friend who’s working as an engineer, kept on complaining about the low quality of his workers. But then, he found a way to improve the quality, the skills and whatever they need, to provide a better result. Well, he get their workers to sign up the programmes of CSkills, a partner of the sector skills council for construction? Wow, this is so new to me.
CSkills provides information for people employed in or around the construction industry on topics including how to become certified in this trade by 2010, the latest health and safety legislation, and career development within the industry.
The most important, CSkills provides training and learning programmes. Here, you'll find a range of courses and qualifications to help you reach your goals. Whether you need to train your staff, you want to develop your skills, or you're looking to start a career, it’s all in CSkills.
Training and learning includes 3 categories:
i) Training and qualifications – Myriads of opportunities are there to improve your or your staffs’ skills and to gain qualifications through apprenticeships and college courses to on-site assessment and training.
ii) CITB-construction skills Grant – help finance your training and development.
iii) National construction college – learning new skills and get qualified at the training centres of CITB-construction skills.
