Church planning to have a Christmas service based on ‘signs, wonders and miracles’. Plan to have a service which are not the same as the usual service we have every Saturday. Hmmm.
Meeting adjoined at 2.30 pm.
Social ministry meeting start at 3 pm. We classified the unused stuff into 2 groups –those which are still in good condition, no stains, and stains which can be washed AND those which are bad condition and have stains which cannot be washed off.
Then those which are in bad condition, we packed it into several small plastic bags and put a notes like ‘Jesus loves you’ or some verses into every plastic bag and throw it to several big garbage bin. Why do we do that? Because there are a lot of poor people who go search for something from garbage bin. So the plastic bags are for them.
Just heard it today from social ministry leader today that, if a Russian lost his passport, it’s very hard for them to do a new one. And when they lost their passport, is equal to they lost everything including properties, house, and they cant do business, and so on and will be caught by police. Some people sell their passport to some one else because they are too poor. So they usually live in manhole (underground, where ninja turtle used to live) because it’s warm and safe. These are the people who usually search for something from garbage bin. The social ministry doesn’t know how to reach to them and help them thus decided to put those plastic bag beside the garbage bin for them.
Besides, this city has a kitchen called ‘soup kitchen’. The city had make an agreement with a few café here that the poor people can come to their café to have free meal (once a day if I m not mistaken). But…..not all poor people can come, only those who has ‘black and white’ (documentation) can have the free meal.
Social ministry ended at 5 pm, I brought 3 packets of plastic bags and along the way back to hostel, put it beside the garbage bin. It was cold and windy.
6 pm, dinner time!! We had chicken soup and mixed veggies. Haha.
Mervyn cook laksa for me and Josephine but I didn’t get to taste it cause slept early. No worry cause Josephine had left some for me. Haha. Can have it as breakfast tomorrow.
Tomorrow, which is Monday, is holiday!! Have some work to do also, have to help move some furniture to the church office. Not sure if they need my help or not. Hehe. See la tomorrow.
Nothing much interesting for today. Will post up the cell group ‘makan’ soon, mum. Hehe.
